Thanks to my beautiful mountain view from my operatory, I didn't miss out on this spectacular view of the smoke originating from the Piute fire. It was sure ominous looking midday but by tonight you could see the moon and the ridges of the surrounding mountains. As of 1:30 this afternoon, the fire was 26% "contained." I am guessing that this may have changed drastically with the high temperatures and increased winds.

Yea for you for sharing your travels with us, the homebound. After having spent the night in Bako last night due to flooding though, I do appreciate my pillow very, very much. And my own bed. If I ever travel, I think I will pack a suitcase with my pillow and bedding in it.
